A great number of wireless industrial sensors are going to need a battery-free energy source with no need for maintenance throughout the lifetime of the sensor. With the help of thermoelectrics heat sources close to a sensor can be turned into little electrical sources. A generator utilizing this effect can power the low-power electronics of the sensor. Until recently, no materials and production processes were suitable for mass production. The otego GmbH, a spin-off company from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology in Germany has found a solution. By using their self developed liquid semiconductor materials they are able to print thermoelectric generators on industrial sized roll-to-roll printing machines.
So far no information materials were provided for this event. Please contact the organizer directly for further information.
