How do we process the data from our machines to increase productivity and efficiency? How do we develop new services and business models? And how do we use new technologies to improve working conditions and relieve the workforce? To meet these challenges, 200 companies and research institutes in the technology network its OWL Intelligent Technical Systems OstWestfalenLippe are developing practical solutions for SMEs to exploit the potential benefits of Industry 4.0. New projects include artificial intelligence, smart services, intelligent production development and the design of modern working environments together with employees. In the lecture practical solutions will be used to illustrate solutions in the three areas as well as their effects. Based on the experiences of the cluster work, recommendations are given on how industry and science can continue on their way to Industry 4.0.
