Cybersecurity threats facing societies and industries have largely remained the same for the past ten years. Fairly trivial malware is still often used to gain an initial foothold within a targeted system. Simultaneously, telecom networks using specialized equipment can be targeted by malware which can be anything but trivial. Telco networks store and transfer location data and sensitive information between high value targets, e.g. gov. officials, decision makers and high-ranking leaders.   Industrial espionage has also moved into the digital sphere as the information assets are created, stored and shared digitally. As social, economic and political activities have increasingly moved to the digital space carried over public networks, intelligence operations have followed suit.   In this presentation we explore what must be done by the industry and society to be resilient against these threats.
