There is an increasing demand for Hydrogen for (auto)mobile and industrial applications worldwide. The respective systems are oprated in a pressure range between a few MPa up to ca. 100 MPa while using volumes between a few liters up to thousands of liters. A safe operation of the systems requires these to be sound designed and to be tested and approved/certified based on the applicable regulations, codes and standards. To this respect, running its own laboratory, TÜV Rheinland can rely on decades of respective experiences and showcases the main international regulations, codes and standards to be applied and how these are used resulting in an optimized, cost efficient testing and approval/certification program.
