While today there are many OEM specifications, standards and specifications for conventional drive technologies, there is considerably less information available for electric drives. For components in electromobility, other requirements are at the forefront. Requirements such as electromagnetic shielding and thermal conductivity are becoming increasingly important due to an increasing number of electrical and electronic components. The reasons for this are an increased risk of technical failure and, due to the permeability of plastics to electromagnetic radiation, the prevention of mutual interference between a wide variety of modules. In addition, the ability to dissipate heat is becoming more important as the power density increases in electronic assemblies due to more compact designs. However, requirements on the properties, such as chemical resistance or flame retardant properties as a result of the increasing power density, are also mentioned.
