As is the case with many innovations, acceptance of Work 4.0 is proving to be a major challenge. Employees acceptance of new technologies is critical to the successful application of digital systems. This problem will be addressed in the lecture. On the basis of the results of running case study analysis, especially in industrial SMEs, causes and best practice examples for overcoming acceptance problems among employees and lower supervisors will be presented. Also recommendations for an acceptance-friendly approach to the introduction of Industry 4.0 will be presented. The thesis is that only a holistic technological, personnel and organizational factors comprehensive approach with the objective of a qualification-oriented design of work provides a sufficient precondition for mastering the challenge of acceptance.
