The Fraunhofer Institute for Electronic Nano Systems ENAS is the specialist and development partner in the field of Smart Systems and their integration for various applications. The intelligent and highly networked systems do not only combine electronics, sensor and actuator components with interfaces for communication and integrated data handling, they are part of complex macroscopic systems. Such systems are the basis for the cross-sector digital transformation of the society and economy. Fraunhofer ENAS develops single components, manufacturing technologies and system concepts as well as system integration technologies and actively supports the technology transfer for and with its customers. The institute is positioned along the value chain and addresses not only technology development and smart sensor systems but focusses especially on prototyping of application demonstrators as a part of advanced product development.
