Toposens launched “TS Alpha” in June 2018.
Ultrasound technology provides many interesting characteristics, that have not been combined into any other 3D sensor ...
Toposens develops 3D sensors based on ultrasound. The sensor uses the principle of echolocation, just like a bat, to detect 3D positions of objects and people in ...
Toposens has developed 3D Ultrasound Sensor Vision that uses sound to support robust, low-cost and precise near-field 3D vision for emerging technologies, such as autonomous driving, robotics and smart buildings. Unlike existing sensor technologies that can be negatively impacted by light conditions, reflections, and weather, Toposens sensors use echolocation to generate robust, real-time 3D point clouds to guide autonomous systems across a variety of applications, even in the most difficult environments. After the launch of the sensor unit TS ALPHA in 2018, Toposens now releases the Automotive DevKit which enables autonomous vehicles to "see with sound". The startup is based in Munich and was founded in 2015 by Alexander Rudoy, Rinaldo Persichini and Tobias Bahnemann.
