The 3DEXPERIENCE® platform is a business experience platform that provides applications for all areas of the company. It supports companies as part of their value creation process - from engineering to marketing, sales and support - in creating positive experiences for their customers.
With the 3DEXPERIENCE® platform, users have the opportunity to use the data without system breaks for design, construction, work preparation, manufacturing, analysis, quality assurance, marketing and supply chain management in a seamlessly connected, interactive environment. The platform combines roles, disciplines, functional areas and locations with the most up-to-date data. The 3DEXPERIENCE® platform has two goals:
1) On the one hand, it functions as a "system of operations" in that all users involved in a project can interact via the platform and work together in real time. All platform users have direct and up-to-date insight, and they may depending on their role, also have influence on the entire product life cycle, be it control, design, modeling, simulation, production or maintenance.
2) On the other hand, the 3DEXPERIENCE® platform as a “business model” enables a company to transform into a platform company. Therefore companies can change the relationships and roles in their business ecosystem and be primarily acting as intermediaries between sellers and buyers, buyers and subcontractors, service providers and end customers. The platform also becomes a marketplace or a trading platform.
