CTIC, Technological Centre specialized in cutting-edge technologies in the field of ICT, will show W3C capabilities in the field of connected industries 4.0. The Worldwide Web Consortium (W3C) is the International Consortium which develops the Web technical standards. CTIC is the W3C Office for Spanish-speaking countries (Spain and LATAM)
In the current context of an increasing digital transformation in the Industry and being Internet the main driver fostering these processes, W3C becomes a key stakeholder for the deployment of the so-called Industry 4.0
The interoperability, the efficient data-sharing processes between IoT devices using web architectures (web of things), the artificial intelligence applied to cyber-physical systems and based on web technologies and the interfaces based on augmented/virtual reality on streaming are some of the fields in which CTIC is actively working in the frame of its activity in W3C. This work has a double approach: to develop technical standards in the Consortium Working Groups as well as to enable knowledge and technology transfer to companies and Industry by means of the early-adoption of those standards.
