In many air motor applications a load variation will lead to severe rotational speed variations causing risk of damage or high wear to the motor and the product which is driven. The high speed variation is often a problem with air motors driving a hydraulic pump. Pumping at maximum hydraulic pressure and flow requires a high power from the air motor which is achieved by a high air pressure and air flow. When the hydraulic pump is in idle the power generated by the air motor has to be reduced to prevent an over speed. The power reduction is achieved by reducing the air flow to the motor and the motor will not run at over speed.
The solution for the speed variation is the GASCV. Automatically the speed is adjusted when the load is changing. This prevents over speed and protects all components against damage or severe wear.
All parts of the valve are made of stainless steel except the brass piston and steel spring which are inside the valve. The use of these materials ensure a safe and reliable operation in severe conditions.
