Product description

Rauschert offers ceramic protection coatings for virtually every metal surface. This coating exhibits excellent wear resistance and electrical and thermal insulation. The ceramic particles are fused at 15.000 to 20.000 °C in a plasma flame and deposited on the pretreated metal surface through a spray process. Meanwhile the component temperature does not exceed 200 °C thus inhibiting structural changes within the material. The applied layer can then be ground and/or polished if needed. Ceramic coatings outperform hard chrome layers in terms of hardness and wear resistance and have been extensively proven for various applications such as textile and wire guide elements, soldering and welding devices, electrical insulation layers for heating conductors up to 500 V and 600°C, thermal insulation layers for the glass processing industry. For wet, corrosive environments corrosion-resistant substrate materials like stainless steel 1.4301 or aluminum are recommended due to the small amount of process-related residual porosity. Alternatively, pores can be filled with organic or inorganic sealants. Our coatings allow for longer machine running times and thus contribute to cost reduction and quality assurance through long-term stability of surfaces. In addition to being a competent partner for ceramic coatings, Rauschert supplies components and composite materials from technical ceramics and polymers.
