The increasing share of renewable energy sources in our electricity mix have led to increasingly frequent fluctuations in the mains supply. In the case of many applications in electrical propulsion technology, even a short power failure can lead to faults which can only be resolved with a great deal of expense. Depending on the application, set-up times lasting several hours may be necessary. The material damage which can be caused by these faults should not be overlooked.Michael Koch GmbH offers the dynamic energy supply (DEV) device to solve these very problems. Just like our DES, the DEV also stands out due to its universality and easy operation. The DEV adjusts independently to all inverters with a supply voltage of between 400 and 460 VAC fitted with a DC link connection. The device detects the voltage level in the DC link and then adjusts to its inception voltage as a short-term uninterrupted power supply. The 2,000W basic storage capacity of the DEV ensures short-term stabilisation of the DC link and is able to bring the system to the desired status. The capacity of the DEV can be adjusted, just like our DES, through extension modules. The DEV ensures a continuous process, rounding up the range of products offered by Michael Koch GmbH, fulfilling its promise of "Managing braking energy".
Our DES buffers braking energy and in fact independently of mains power. It takes over the task of a brake resistor, only without destroying the energy to be absorbed. ...
