Optimize and automate trimming and save money: eCAB NC-Cut.
The search for appropriate saving potentials has become a compulsory exercise in the European control cabinet industry. Automatic enclosure processing with the STEINHAUER machining centers already is a well established solution. Users summing up: "never again without".
Modern engineering platforms, like Eplan Cabinet, offer overall planning and work-preparation for switchgear production as a basic functionality. Besides the documentation and layout planning the key benefits are the generation of machine data for production. Standardized interfaces offer output for sheet-metal processing machines, routed cabel data for automatic cable assembly as well as trimming lists for cut-to-measure parts. By exploiting all promising options one gets an optimized workflow: "Planning - Production - Documentation"
The two-level workspace offers support for two cutters, like one shear for cable ducts and another one for profile rails or bus bars. The tool carriers are adaptable to shears and drop saws of all major manufacturers. Tools already existing can be integrated easily.
The cut optimization can be performed for a single project or - with even better results - for multiple projects. The zero-cut, needed for automatic machining of mounting plates, is supported as well as the relieve of the stops for an easier removal of the trimmed parts from the shears.
To avoid the searching for the correct mounting position an optional printer creates a label for each trimmed part with the project reference, assembly diagram reference, fieldnumber, rotation angle and exact mounting coordinates on the mounting plate. A real time-saver!
