The microprocessing technology specialist Fraunhofer IMM develops complete fuel processor systems for all conventional and renewable fuels covering every point in the value chain from initial modelling and simulation studies to reactor design and manufacture as well as complete system testing.
Concomitant with the aforementioned systems, IMM develops reactors for a myriad of fuel processing reactions such as water-gas shift reactors, reactors for selective oxidation and reactors suitable for Fischer-Tropsch processing. In addition the range of services includes catalysts for a multitude of applications together with balance of plant components such as heat exchangers and evaporators. Innovative storage and distribution concepts in the field of liquid hydrogen technology for decentralized combined heat and power generation are also a key part of the technology know-how.
We develop microchannel heat-exchangers and reactors for heat management, catalytic combustion, reformers and complete fuel processors for the hydrogen production for fuel cells.
