The EnviCam® sensor module gathers well-known gas sensing technologies together with own developments within a unique smart communicating system, for both indoor and outdoor monitoring, towards increased safety. From 5 to 10 years operation lifetime are targeted, battery-powered and/or through energy harvesting. The module is optimized for fast deployment with minimal maintenance cost and very low price, down to one-hundredth of the traditional systems. The device can be optionally provided without wireless communication and only serial data output (I²C, SPI and/or UART) for specific customer integration.
This sensor node wisely combines gas, particulate matter, temperature and humidity sensors, as well as wireless communication capabilities through the LPWA (Low-Power Wide-Area), e.g. LoRa and Sigfox, and Bluetooth networks of the Internet of Things and the Industry 4.0. Measurements of other parameters such as pressure, light and sound are also envisioned in the next product generations. Besides, our upcoming ultra-low-power multi-pixel CMOSEnvi™ sensing technology will pave the way towards billions of interconnected sensor nodes for environmental monitoring and industrial control at low cost.
Target markets are the (petro)chemical, agri-food, automotive, security and heathcare industries, as well as the smart cities, including environmental monitoring (HSE), process control and HVAC.
