Product description

The technology combines additive manufacturing (3D printing) and solvent-free electrospinning processes. Produced structures have controlled fibre diameter (100 nm to 100 mm), large surface area and high porosity. Broad range of polymers can be used as raw materials. Depending on the properties of the polymer used, the applications include, but not limited to: biomedicine (tissue engineering); pharma (drug delivery); cleantech (filters, membranes, sensors); energy (electrodes, solar cells, fuel cells); food (packaging material, films); chemical engineering (carbon nano tubes, catalysts). Fibre-made materials are competitive in price, technology is characterized by the optimum energy consumption and is environment-friendly (no hazardous waste or emissions are produced during the process). Technology is further developed by startup "Volatile Innovation", who is looking for partners to further prototyping and commercialization for the development and of new high value-added products.
