Inductive Ring Sensors detect small metal parts by utilizing a special ring-shaped housing. The design of this housing allows the sensor to be insensitive to outside influences. Parts may be detected up to a speed of 35 m/s and with adjustable pulse stretching; detection by a PLC is also possible. Other applications for this type of sensor include wire-break detection and also level control when used with a glass or plastic tube and a small metal float.
