Product description

The ILQsf System SmartFlow of LTG Aktiengesellschaft (Stuttgart, Germany) is a completely new diffuser for ceiling or floor installation for industrial buildings, business premises, foyers and similar spaces. It is suitable for both heating and cooling operation, allows variable air volumes and effectively removes pollutants even at low supply air flow.To do so, the diffuser combines a mixed and a displacement air diffuser. A control element is positioned between these two diffusers. The mixed diffuser distributes around 25% of the maximum quantity of supply air radial over eight individual jets. The supply air exits the cylindrical part of the diffuser pulsed at a slow speed as displacement air, so that a stable laminar flow is produced. Compared to a displacement-only air diffuser it results in a uniform penetration depth and layer size independent of the flow rate. Thanks to the induction effect of the mixed air, harmful substances are effectively dissipated even at one fifth of the maximum possible flow rate. The ILQsf is available in three sizes for air flow rates over 7000 m³/h.

The ILQsf diffusers were specifically designed for industrial applications. They enable operation with variable flow rates over a wide control range of 1: 4 therefore they can also be used for on-demand ventilation.

In case of the minimum flow rate, only the blow-out head is active. It creates mixed ventilation with horizontal blow-out for ground-level installation or with air direction obliquely downwards for installation heights between 2 and 3 m above the floor. Compared to a displacement air diffuser, the residence zone is characterized by a uniform and radial outward airflow and largely prevents the rising of warm supply air as well as a downflow of cold supply air. With increasing loads, the air volume linearly increases while pressure loss and the radial flow pulse remain constant.
