The determinations of mechanical, static and dynamic material properties are performed in our laboratory, in different conditions of temperature and environment, according to ASTM, DIN, BS,AFNOR and national and international aircraft specifications.
Our laboratory is equipped with devices that provide the performance of a wide range of tests such as tests for the determination of materials hardness, tensile tests, compression, bending, fatigue, creep, stress corrosion, tensile shock tests as well as tests of fracture mechanics.
The tests for the determination of the materials hardness by Brinell, Rockwell and Vickers methods with micro and macro-loads as well as tensile tests at the ambient temperature or at the temperature up to 1000ºC and bending tests by shock using Charpy and Izod methods are usual tests for the check of the materials properties and for the control of manufacturing technologies.
The fatigue and fracture mechanics tests are the important methods of our laboratory for the determination of materials endurance and for the analysis of the deformation and fracture of the materials which have cracks type defects this providing some anticipations in the behaviour of the semi-products. The equipment of our laboratory allows the performance of axial load testing(elongation/compression) and rotary bending.
In these laboratories is performed the whole range of micro and macro structural analyses by optical microscopy methods, electronic microscopy with scanning and by transmission, microanalyses and X-ray diffraction, allowing the complete characterization of any type of metallic and non-metallic material.
The spectrometer with photoelectric receiver in optical emission, gives the possibility to determine with precision, the chemical composition of all the materials and semiproducts in the manufacturing programme including Fe base and Al base alloys.
