The QIS.TE main module is the heart of the QIS.TE system. It connects to Auto-ID systems (e.g. RFID readers), to the central system (e.g. ERP) and to extension modules and links them via app to a functional unit.
The main module provides 2 FastEthernet (RJ45) interfaces for connection to company networks or for connecting RFID readers.
The operating system is Yocto / Linux.
The inputs of the expansion modules can be used to connect sensors to use as trigger for an RFID read or for use directly through the API. The outputs can be used as signaling (e.g., signal tower) or for switching 24V actuators.
The configuration takes place via WebConfigurator by entering the IP address of the QIS.TE in the browser, similar to a home DSL router (Internet Explorer is not supported!).
The current configuration can be backed up to SD card and restored (even on other main modules, such as cloning configurations, replacing the hardware).
