HANNOVER MESSE 2020,
20 - 24 April
Multiple heating and cooling steps are part of the metal production route to achieve the requested product properties. Rendering this heating and cooling steps more flexible and compact and trying to reduce the alloying cost by increasing the cooling rate are the key driver for these developments.
The CRM Group is highly specialised in in-line water cooling treatments for efficient cooling of metallic products and to give them the required product properties. Indeed, by applying fast water cooling, one can influence the microstructure development and phase transformations to achieve finer or harder structures without the addition of alloying elements. The cooling technologies developed by the CRM Group are applicable to wide range of products and have reached industrial maturity in many patented processes and trade names such as Tempcore® or Mulpic®.
The CRM Group also pursues the quest to new and improved products through the development of innovative and flexible annealing cycles, working on topics such as new compact and flexible annealing lines, annealing under high magnetic fields, effect of line tension on final properties, etc.
CRM Group activities are centered on the production, transformation, coating and use of metallic materials. Since 1948 we offer R&D and technology solutions focusing ...
