As part of a development project in cooperation with Avermann Maschinenfabrik GmbH & Co. KG, material and energy efficiency of a mobile waste compactor were increased. Using appropriate measuring equipment, load spectra and load paths were first determined, which were then used with the help of the FEM calculation to design the machine in an optimally material-efficient manner, thereby reducing production costs.
The machine's total weight saving of approx. 550 kg not only results in lower material consumption, but also in a higher vehicle load capacity.
Furthermore, as part of the optimization process, it was possible to offer the press head as a separate assembly worldwide.
