After completing his qualification as a state-certified technician, Gerd Ohl began his civil career in 1992 in the telecommunications division of Robert Bosch GmbH. The focus of his work was initially in the area of production planning and control. After the successful introduction of team-oriented production processes, he took over the personal responsibility for various production areas. In 2006, Gerd Ohl was appointed Plant Manager at the Limburg site. In 2009 he took over the management there. After an MBO, Limtronik GmbH started in 2010 with 90 employees. The company now employs 130 people in Germany and 20 employees in one of its subsidiaries in the USA. Another production facility is currently located in Eastern Europe. The company sees the digitization of operations as a strategic focus in order to successfully position itself in the market in the coming years. Another strategic focus is also the promotion of young talent: Limtronik educates about needs and has been able to provide some national (Germany) winners and the 5th national (Hessen) winner in a row in recent years. In addition, the company was co-initiator in the creation of the Association SEF Smart Electronic Factory e.V. Gerd Ohl is active there as 2nd Chairman.
