Ingo Baumgardt studied precision engineering (mechatronics) at the University of Applied Sciences in Karlsruhe.
He gained initial experience in automation technology as a developing engineer and product manager at Hirschmann Automation GmbH, a specialist in Industrial Ethernet and fiber optic communication systems.
Subsequently, Ingo Baumgardt learned about the requirements of sensory applications in the various industries of mechanical engineering and factory automation as product manager at Balluff GmbH.
Since 2008 at Leuze electronic, Ingo Baumgardt progressed the portfolio of measuring sensors and subsequently took over responsibility for the Competence Center "Sensor Communication". In this function he is - amongst others - Member of the Steering Committee of the IO-Link Community.
