Martin Spindler is Professor of Statistics at the Department of Business Administration (Hamburg Business School) at the University of Hamburg and Director at Economic AI GmbH. He studied Economics and Mathematics and holds a Ph.D. from the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich, Germany. His research interests are Machine Learning methods and their application to problems in economics and business administration, in particular finance, insurance and health economics and logistics. He also leads the department “Big Data & Digital Health” at the Hamburg Center for Health Economics. He founded Economic AI jointly with leading researchers in this field to offer research-based state-of-the-art statistical and econometric methods for analysing data sets using Machine Learning and Artifical Intelligence.
