Dr. Matthias Meyer studied Business Computing at Paderborn University (1997-2002). Afterwards, he was a Research Associate at the Software Engineering Group (2002-2007) and Executive Manager at the Software Quality Lab (2008-2010) at Paderborn University. There he received his Ph.D. in Computer Science on the topic of “Pattern-based Re-Engineering of Software Systems”. Since 2011, he is Head of the Department for Software Engineering and IT Security at the Fraunhofer Institute for Mechatronic Systems Design IEM. In 2019, he became a member of the Bitkom Management Club. He focuses on application-oriented research of methods and tools for the efficient and secure development of software-intensive, technical systems, especially with model-based and model-driven techniques.
