Jaime Guerra Perez was born September 18th, 1961 in Ciudad Miguel Aleman, Tamaulipas; nevertheless he has spent most of his life in the city of Saltillo, Coahuila.
Graduated as Industrial Engineer from the Technological Institute of Saltillo and MBA from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education he has over 21 years of experience in the industry sector, particularly in Human Resources and Manufacture.
As a business man and independent consultor, he has over 14 years of experience specialized on the implementation of the continuous improvement system in different sectors, as well as shareholder and counselor in several companies in the southeast region of Coahuila.
He has had a strong civic participation where he stands out as President of Canacintra (Industry and Transformation National Chamber) Southeast Coahuila, from 2014 to 2017, achieving recognition as the best delegation in the country during his period. He was elected as national vice president of Canacintra North-Central Region, Coordinator of the Security and Justice Bureau Southeast Coahuila, Chairman of the National Canacintra Nursery Committee, Member of the State Technical Subcommittee for Project Evaluation of the National Entrepreneur Institute from 2014 to 2015, Founding Member of the Technical-Business School Council from 2011 to 2015, Vice President of the Canacintra Southeast Coahuila from 2011 to 2013, President of the Association of Human Resources Administrators Southeast Coahuila, 2008, 2011 and 2012, President of the Coahuila Association for the Promotion of Quality AC from 1998 to 2010, First Vice President of the Mexican Federation of Human Resources Associations A.C. (FEMARH), from 2012 to 2014, as well as member of many other business organizations and civil society.
He serves as Secretary of Economy and Tourism of the Government of the State of Coahuila de Zaragoza since January 2018.
