As the Europe-wide network of excellence for carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP), CFK Valley e.V. covers the entire process chain, from training through technological development and recycling. More than 100 German and international companies and research institutes are members of the Stade-based association. As a group of companies and research facilities, Carbon Composites e.V. (CCeV) focuses on the value chain of high-performance fiber composites. The competence network, headquartered in Augsburg, centers on the ‘marketable high-performance fiber composite structures’ product group, primarily fiber composite structures with plastic or ceramic matrices.

With some 400 members and international affiliates in Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, Japan, South Korea, China, and India, the merger, to form Composites United e.V., will create the world’s largest fiber-based multi-material lightweight construction network. The new association will be headquartered in Berlin; the existing Augsburg and Stade offices will continue to operate and will be responsible for the professional management of the association’s activities.
