How to get to HANNOVER MESSE

The A2 motorway allows a comfortable and fast journey from North Rhine-Westphalia and Berlin. The A7 motorway takes you directly to Hannover - whether you are coming from Hamburg or Munich.
Coming from the North
Take highway A7 direction "Hannover / Kassel". At exit no. 55 "Altwarmbüchen" change to highway A37 and follow the signage "Hannover / Messe"
Coming from the East
Take highway A2 direction "Hannover / Dortmund". At exit no. 47 "Hannover-Buchholz" change to highway A37 and follow the signage "'Hannover / Messe"
Coming from the South
Take highway A7 direction "Hannover / Hamburg". At exit no. 60 (junction Hannover-Süd) change to highway A37 and follow the ssignage "'Hannover / Messe"
Coming from the West
Take highway A2 direction "Hannover / Magdeburg / Berlin"'. At exit 46 "Hannover-Lahe" change to highway A37 and follow the signage "Hannover / Messe"
Parking lots
On the website of the "Gesellschaft für Verkehrsförderung mBH" (GfV) you will find all

The parking fee for cars is 15,- EUR.

HANNOVER MESSE recommends taking part in the "Digital Traffic Management Lower Saxony (DVL-NI)" for arrival and departure. Traffic reports and arrival and departure information from the Lower Saxony Traffic Management Centre / Hannover Region can be conveniently received via CarPlay/Android Auto as a navigation announcement right up to the car park entrance.

With the cooperation offer of Deutsche Messe AG and Deutsche Bahn you can travel relaxed and comfortable to HANNOVER MESSE.
North Entrance: via Hannover Main Station
For your day visit, use the regular services of Deutsche Bahn AG to Hannover Main Station. The exhibition grounds can be reached from Hannover main station by underground line 8 or 18 in approx. 18 minutes (entrances NORD 1 and 2).
Subway stop: Hannover Messe/Nord
West Entrance: via Hannover Messe/Laatzen Station
There will also be additional metronom and erixx stops at Hannover Messe/Laatzen station.
The Hannover Messe/Laatzen station is approximately 400 m from the WEST 1 entrance to the grounds. You can reach the grounds on foot by walking over the covered Skywalk transport system, which connects the station with the Exhibition Grounds. During the fairs German Railway extends its schedule by special train services at station Hannover Messe/Laatzen.

FlixTrain also offers train connections to Hannover.

From the city centre you reach the Exhibition Grounds by tram line/U-Bahn/suburban railway or from the south by bus.

Suburban Railway S5
All year round from Hannover Airport via Hannover Main Station to the Exhibition Grounds by local railway connection (S-Bahn), travel time 12 - 15 minutes.

During trade fairs, shuttle busses provide regular service between the airport and the Exhibition Center.

Please note:
Starting in 2025, citizens from more than 60 visa-exempt countries will have to apply for travel authorization in the European Travel Information and Authorization System (ETIAS) before traveling to any of the 30 European countries. With a valid ETIAS travel authorization, travelers can enter as many times as they want for short-term stays - normally for up to 90 days within a 180-day period. Travelers who do not have a valid travel authorization will not be allowed to board their flight, bus, ferry or ship.

Taxi
Taxi stands are located around the exhibition grounds at the entrances NORD 2, WEST 1 + 3 and SÜD 1.
The journey time between the exhibition grounds and the airport is approx. 30 minutes, depending on the volume of traffic.

During HANNOVER MESSE, up to 53 charging poles are available for you to use close from the entrances. They are distributed as follow:
- Parking lot North 4 (12 charging stations)
- Parking lot South 32 (10 charging stations)
- Parking lot West 34 (14 charging stations)
- Parking lot West 41 (17 charging stations)
Deutsche Messe is conducting security checks at all entrances. This involves examining the contents of all luggage, e.g. handbags, backpacks, trolleys, suitcases, attaché cases and any other bags and containers.
