These days a great many roads lead not only to Rome, but to an intelligent home. There is such a high toll on the most traveled routes, however, that we might prefer to remain safe within our four walls and their simple manual on/off switches. To prevent costs for new construction and especially retrofits from soaring into the five figures, Polish smart home specialist F&F Filipowski has developed cost effective alternatives that are being presented to the public for the first time at HANNOVER MESSE 2014.

The innovative PROXI-System in particular is celebrating its world premiere. This ready-for-market system relies on the latest Bluetooth standard for its controls, so that lighting, electric blinds and the most common household devices can be easily controlled with a smartphone via three different flush-mounted modules. The modules in the PROXI range can be operated in two different modes: public mode, where anyone can control the switches for the devices equipped with the corresponding app; and private mode which allows access only by specifically linked smartphones or tablets (Android 4.3 or higher, iOS 5.0 or higher). And the conventional wall switches can also still be used after the control modules are installed.
