The complete IoT system from Mobile2b was designed for three major areas of application. Firstly, the system uses sensors to record machine cycles and sends these to the smartphone app via a gateway. This means the company using the software always has up-to-date information about the amount of work performed. Secondly, the solution can also monitor air temperature and humidity, as well as other sensor data. If particular defined values are exceeded, it sends a push notification to the people in charge. Thirdly, the app displays current machine parameters which make it possible to track utilization, status and component wear. In this way, the system facilitates predictive maintenance of production equipment.

For establishments using older machinery without Industry 4.0 connectivity, Mobile2b provides its IoT system as a retrofit solution. The company stresses that the solution is also suitable for smaller and medium-sized businesses without a large digitization budget.
