As a Joint Development Manufacturing (JDM) partner and expert in electronics manufacturing services (EMS), Limtronik provides its customers with valuable support - from product development right through to the finished goods. At HANNOVER MESSE 2019, the company is revealing how production data can boost added value, with its smart factory acting as the perfect environment for hosting applications from fellow members of the Industry 4.0 association SEF Smart Electronic Factory e.V. (SEF). The electronic supplier’s capacity data, for example, enables seamless near-real-time tracking of production orders - from the time they are placed to the delivery of goods at the plant. The resulting application scenarios cover everything from root cause analysis to protection against plagiarism.
Limtronik GmbH operates its state-of-the-art digitized factory with cloud-compatible systems that control the machines. As all of these machines are connected to a higher-level system, they exchange data among themselves autonomously. This allows Limtronik to provide a vast amount of different types of data and make it suitable for use - for conventional tracking and tracing, for example, to know where and when which material from which delivery was installed and what quality features it has. The underlying idea is to help companies pinpoint defects, optimize processes and reduce product recalls.
