The roof tiles of the future will not only protect houses, but also generate energy from the environmental forces to which they are exposed 24 hours a day. The innovative modules developed by Logic Group AG with the financial support of the Swiss Climate Foundation are called HeroEasy. Like mini power plants on the roofs of houses, these little "heroes" make use of wind, photovoltaic and solar thermal energy – compactly combined on the surface of a roof and without the need to conventionally link the individual technologies together.

The project is scientifically supervised by the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences , which is conducting research into the energetic fingerprint of buildings in another project. The block-shaped HeroEasy modules have been tested on a model roof at their site in Horw since the beginning of April. The results are intended to boost development of the modular system. AGZ Ziegeleien AG is the partner for the market launch planned this autumn.
