The aim is to provide companies with support in networking their production and developing new services. According to Accenture , the new center will focus on the process industries, the chemical and steel sectors, and the energy industry. The program includes the presentation of concrete application examples such as artificial intelligence (AI) or the Internet of Things (IoT). Workshops are intended to help develop ideas for transferring digital trends to a company’s business model. Together with Accenture employees, companies can also develop prototypes of products and services. Accenture has been operating an industrial IoT innovation center in Garching near Munich for some time now.
There are numerous other innovation centers throughout Germany that help promote the digital transformation in companies. The German Association of Innovation, Technology and Business Incubation Centers has been representing the interests of the industry since 1988.
