A cooperation between the APS specialist Dualis and the CAQ (Computer-aided Quality) and MES provider Sciil supports a customer from the automotive supplier sector in the optimization of production. The comprehensive networking of several areas, each of which was previously linked individually, will enable a new level of automation and efficiency. Specifically, the project involves the cross-linking of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), production planning and control, as well as the collection of operating data and measured values.

Dualis is responsible for the connection of the existing ERP software with the newly introduced Dualis proprietary APS (Advanced Planning and Scheduling) system GANTTPLAN for optimizing resource management, which the company also exhibited at the Hannover Messe 2018 . As part of the cooperation, Sciil will be responsible for the automated data acquisition, the results of which will then be fed into the APS system. The data processing system creates a production plan that allocates production times and orders to specific machines in order to transfer the results back to the ERP solution. This is accompanied by a constant real-time data synchronization between the two systems, which enables immediate response to a machine defect or production bottlenecks.

The ERP provider proALPHA strives for a comparable degree of higher-level networking as well. Its system already integrates a proprietary APS module to ensure that production resources are used as efficiently as possible.
