"Industry worldwide is undergoing a transformation process. Of central importance here is the energy and mobility transformation," stated Baden-Württemberg's Minister President Winfried Kretschmann in the run-up to HANNOVER MESSE 2023, before also visiting it in person on 17 April. "At the business and science location of Baden-Württemberg, climate and resource-friendly solutions for these major challenges of our time are already being developed and implemented today. With our strong networks and international partners, we offer great potential for new value creation."

Energy and mobility solutions for the economy of tomorrow

More than 40 exhibitors from Baden-Württemberg will be presenting sustainable technologies for energy supply with electricity or hydrogen and its downstream products, as well as for the mobility of the future, in the "Energy Solutions" themed area at HANNOVER MESSE 2023. The Baden-Württemberg Pavilion in Hall 12 presents local start-ups, research institutions, medium-sized companies, universities, associations and large corporations on more than 830 square metres of exhibition space. These develop products and services that have adapted to changing value chains or represent entirely new business models in the energy and mobility industry. The companies and organisations from Baden-Württemberg are supported in their transformation by exchange and cooperation networks, such as the Electromobility South-West Cluster, the Fuel Cell BW Cluster, the State Pilot Office for Transformation Knowledge BW or the H2BW Platform. They drive various networking offers around hydrogen, battery technology and digitalisation.

Baden-Württemberg wants to be more than just a car state

"In Hannover, we will show an international audience of experts the potential of Baden-Württemberg's industry and research. Baden-Württemberg has long been much more than a car state," says Franz Loogen, Managing Director of the state agency e-mobil BW, which is organising the joint stand with Baden-Württemberg International and the Stuttgart Region Economic Development Corporation. "Our companies, universities and start-ups are at the forefront of global competition when it comes to hydrogen and fuel cell technology or smart software solutions. In doing so, they benefit from the strong networks in the state."

Politics, business and science: International delegations

In addition, the Baden-Württemberg Pavilion will again offer visibility for the state's international partners this year. The special area "THE LÄND meets Finland" offers insight into the long-standing and trusting cooperation of the state-specific industry networks, especially with the Electromobility South-West Cluster and the Fuel Cell Cluster BW. In addition, national and international delegations from politics, business and science are expected. Furthermore, there will be guided tours for students to get them excited about the variety of jobs in Baden-Württemberg.
