Back to storing inventory
Just-in-time is so yesterday – GS YUASA exhibits systems for interim storage of renewable energies in wind energy and photovoltaics

The core problem for the coming transition to renewable energies is not, as some still seem to think, producing it, but rather transporting this energy and above all storing it. Energy production is less and less determined by immediate requirements, but rather increasingly depends on time of day and weather conditions. This creates an urgent need for “interim storage” to stockpile suitable provisions of this precious resource. Lithium-ion technology specialist GS YUASA BATTERY is addressing this topic and presenting its solution ideas at HANNOVER MESSE 2014.
GS YUASA is presenting its latest systems for buffering renewable energies in the wind energy and PV sectors in Hannover, suitable for use in both private households and industrial applications. In this area GS YUASA continues to rely on the lithium-ion technology it applies in the field of electromobility. The systems presented at the trade fair serve above all to stabilize and support grids that are primarily supplied with renewable energies and are subject to the resulting fluctuations. In this context, a recent joint venture undertaken between German company Robert Bosch and the Japanese Mitsubishi Corporation aims to double the capacity of existing storage technology.
