Bosch and Huawei have announced that they will enter into a partnership to drive forward development of the Internet of Things (IoT) in China. “Demand for IoT solutions in China is growing. This partnership between Bosch and Huawei Cloud is a major step for Bosch in one of the fastest-growing IoT markets in Asia,” states Dr. Stefan Ferber, head of Bosch Software Innovations , a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bosch. As for the Chinese IoT platform market, the company forecasts a growth of around 70% in the next few years.

The software platform from Bosch connects Internet-capable products and devices, enabling data exchange via a wide range of digital services and business models and beyond. The first service to be provided to Chinese customers on the Huawei Cloud is the Bosch IoT Remote Manager, a service for managing and controlling gateways, sensors and devices. Additional services from the Bosch IoT Suite will follow in 2019.
