EMAG is investing in GEFERTEC and anacision

he EMAG Group from Baden-Württemberg is extending its areas of business. At the end of September, the manufacturer of machines and production systems acquired a minority shareholding in the Berlin-based company GEFERTEC , which is driving forward the development of the new 3DMP (3D Metal Print) industry standard. The shared aim of both companies is to market this 3D technology based on welding wire throughout the world. The development of new 3DMP machines and applications is also at the center of the strategic partnership.
Through a second minority shareholding, this time in the company anacision from Karlsruhe , the EMAG Group has secured expertise in all aspects of analysis of machine sensor and production data. The partners intend to develop software solutions for EMAG tool machine construction together, including in the area of predictive maintenance. For Markus Heßbrüggen, CEO of the EMAG Group, the shareholding in anacision is the “start of a wide-ranging strategic development partnership in the area of Industry 4.0”.
