The new Enapter production site will be capable of producing more than 100,000 highly efficient AEM (Anion Exchange Membrane) electrolyser modules per year. Clients in 33 countries already use Enapter’s highly efficient AEM electrolysers to replace fossil fuels with green hydrogen. The automated mass production capabilities of the new site will be vital for creating the economies of scale needed for the modular green hydrogen technology to reach price parity with grey hydrogen production. The modules are currently manufactured at Enapter’s serial production facility in Pisa, Italy, where further expansion is also taking place. Construction on the 76,000 sq. m plot of land is planned to begin in early 2021. The Campus is expected to be completed and operational in 2022.
