The Berlin-based company is currently expanding its successful CTi infrared pyrometer series with three new models, thereby strengthening its portfolio of compact, powerful sensors for non-contact temperature measurement in industry. According to the supplier, the new models – CTi 3M, CTi 4M, and CTi LT hot – deliver precise and reliable data for demanding applications in the metal, glass, plastics, and semiconductor industries.

The CTi 3M was developed specifically for metal and secondary metal processing and offers a temperature measurement range from 30 to 1850 degrees Celsius. The starting temperature of 30 degrees Celsius of the CTi in the 3MXL version is a unique innovation on the market and is expected to significantly increase the possible applications of the new pyrometer. The short wavelength of 2.3 micrometers minimizes measurement errors due to changes in emissivity and achieves exposure times of only 110 microseconds. Its compact measuring head (14 × 28 millimeters) is designed for ambient temperatures up to 85 degrees Celsius without cooling and is therefore ideal for fast processes in confined spaces.

The CTi 4M, on the other hand, is designed for applications that require high-speed measurements at low temperatures. It operates in the mid-wavelength range from 2.2 to 6 micrometers and measures temperatures from zero to 500 degrees Celsius with ultra-fast exposure times of only 110 microseconds. This makes it particularly suitable for monitoring ceramics, oxides, and other materials with unknown or variable emissivity. Like the Cti 3M, the Cti 4M features a two-piece design with multiple analog and digital outputs, including Modbus, Profinet, and EtherNet/IP, ensuring seamless integration into automation systems.

Finally, the CTi LT hot is designed for extreme conditions and operates at ambient temperatures up to 250 degrees Celsius without additional cooling. With a scalable measuring range from minus 50 to plus 1050 degrees Celsius, it is ideal for use in dryers, ovens, melting furnaces, and heat treatment plants. Its robust stainless steel housing minimizes temperature gradients and withstands rapid temperature fluctuations, ensuring accurate measurements even in demanding production environments.
