With Robin'6, Conductix-Wampfler has developed an all-in-one solution specifically for secure data communication of automated guided vehicles (AGV) and autonomous mobile robots (AMR), thereby reducing integration and operating costs while increasing cyber security. The sum of these advantages prompted “Materialfluss - Das Magazin für Intralogistik” to nominate the communication solution as product of the year in “Category 3: Industrial Trucks and Components”.

“With the new Robin'6 communication solution, we will set standards for reliable communication in an ultra-compact, robust design,” emphasizes Thomas Förste, Product Manager Wireless Data Transmission at Conductix-Wampfler. For optimal connectivity and infrastructure integration, the Wi-Fi solution is equipped with LAN, CAN, and GPIO ports, all located on the front for easy assembly and cabling. At just 27 millimeters high, the device is particularly slim and therefore also suitable for vehicles with very low heights.

Secure wireless commissioning and remote management are designed to facilitate quick setup while also enabling the automation of fleet deployments. Robin'6 features low-power sleep modes and digital controls for power management of the functional blocks on board the AGV/AMR, with more features currently being developed and planned for the future. “All these features make Robin'6 the perfect wireless data communication device for AGV/AMR manufacturers, system integrators, and plant operators interested in long-term cost reduction in the commissioning and operation of industrial vehicle fleets,” explains Förste.

Whether battery systems, battery charging solutions or communication and safety solutions – with Robin'6, Conductix-Wampfler will, by its own account, offer an even more comprehensive and ideally coordinated portfolio of solutions for energy transmission, energy storage and secure data communication for FTS / AGV and AMR.
