Bachmann Electronic presents its latest developments in monitoring and diagnosis systems for wind turbines
Share
The energy yield and economic yield of wind turbines depend on their operational reliability. For wind turbines in locations that are difficult to access, such as offshore areas, maintenance planning is a strategic activity. Condition monitoring systems (CMS) can help by providing the data necessary for early detection of potential failures, so that maintenance activities can be scheduled on time. Bachmann Electronic is showing their latest innovations in this key area at HANNOVER MESSE 2014.
Condition monitoring is based on the continuous or periodic acquisition of machine status data by measuring and analyzing relevant physical quantities, such as vibrations, temperatures and lubricant states. The condition monitoring systems from Bachmann Monitoring can be implemented directly in M1 automation systems, thereby enabling the complete recording, analysis and evaluation of data in parallel to the control program for the first time. Secure web technologies enable defined external access to the overall system or individual system components. Data is constantly available to the system operator and service staff, ensuring optimal process control and energy harvesting.
