According to IONOS, for the first time, small companies will also be able to use effective inbox advertising, which was previously reserved for large customers with high budgets. The internet service provider, based in Montabaur, is expanding its online marketing portfolio with Inbox Ads to include a targeted advertising format that will allow advertising to be placed with just a few clicks via a user-friendly interface in the future.

Placing advertising content directly in the email inbox

Inbox Ads are visually highlighted and integrated into the target group's mailboxes. They consist of an individual sender, subject line, advertising message, brand logo and a link to your own website or online store. The subject line can be up to 70 characters long and can include a campaign image. The next step is to define the target group of recipients, the duration and the price that you are willing to pay per ad displayed (CPM – cost per mille). Inbox Ads thus offers a wide range of options to support various marketing goals, such as branding or sales.

According to IONOS, Inbox Ads offers direct access to the target group: the ads appear directly where users regularly read their emails. In addition, the ads are designed to attract maximum attention when placed in the inbox. For personalized targeting, the approach can be individually tailored to the behavior and interests of your own target group. According to IONOS, the performance of the advertising can be closely monitored and optimized based on the measurement results. Since direct interaction with potential customers increases the likelihood of successful deals, Inbox Ads should ultimately lead to higher conversion rates.

Wide reach at low cost

Inbox Ads fits seamlessly into the IONOS product portfolio, which includes website, email, search engine optimization, and Google Ads. The product is self-contained but must be linked to an IONOS customer account. For the market launch, IONOS is offering the Inbox Ads plan at an introductory price of just one euro per month for the first three months; after that, Inbox Ads will cost three euros per month. Existing customers receive the first month free of charge in their customer shop. In addition, there are the media costs with a freely selectable budget.
