Message of Greeting for the Future Hub
Bettina Stark-Watzinger, Federal Minister for Education and Research15 Apr 2023
get ahead of the curve and visit the Future Hub in Hall 2, where you will also be warmly welcomed by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. From our Opportunity Platform to the "Bioeconomy Showcase" to the InnoTruck, we have teamed up with many partners to show how innovation can succeed. We are not only concerned with individual new products, but much more comprehensively: with the transformation of our industry.
The focus is on the leap from excellent research into practice. Because the major tasks of our time demand a special dynamic in science, business and society. Whether it is climate change, digitalisation or global competition: we must act decisively so that companies can prepare for the future and at the same time achieve the climate goals, for example through less carbon dioxide emissions, less resource consumption, more circular value creation. Environmental technologies and future energies like green hydrogen - our opportunity of the century. These topics are therefore just as present as artificial intelligence or networked manufacturing processes and, last but not least, the question of where we should concentrate our strengths in order to be successful as a location. Where should Germany remain or become a technology leader? Where should we promote new key technologies? Or to keep an eye on our technological sovereignty?
At the Future Hub you can find answers to many questions about the future - thanks to national and international guests and thanks to the proven mix of private and public sectors. I wish all visitors inspiring hours and our exhibition partners: trade fair days with a future!
