Heavy lifting with a delicate touch
ROLLON has developed the highly robust, dynamic, yet precise Tecline linear axes as an efficient solution for handling heavy workpieces. According to the manufacturer, they are ideal for covering long strokes - even in dirty environments.22 Nov. 2019 Trendspots Editorial Office
For over 40 years, ROLLON GmbH has been one of the world's leading end-to-end suppliers of linear technology and boasts a comprehensive portfolio of linear guides, telescopic rails and linear axes. The company is now expanding its Actuator Line to include the Tecline range of linear units, specially designed to offer an efficient solution for handling heavy workpieces. Thanks to its hardened, sloping tooth racks with ground teeth and its axis profile with a maximum travel distance of 10,800 mm, the Tecline is said to be ideal for transporting heavy loads over long distances. Multiple profiles can also be combined to cover longer stretches.
Equipped with a self-supporting profile made of extruded, anodized and hardened aluminum, a double guidance system, and a rack and pinion drive, the Tecline linear units are capable of reaching speeds of 3.5 m per second and accelerations of 10 m per second squared. The linear units also boast a repeatability of ±0.05 mm, enabling them to handle loads of up to 2,000 kg precisely, quickly and quietly. The products' robust design is also said to guarantee a long service life and low noise levels, while keeping maintenance requirements low and performance reliable - even in dirty environments. To enable users to quickly create systems comprising multiple units, such as pick-and-place modules, ROLLON offers a wide selection of easy-to-assemble profiles up to 360 mm in length. What’s more, customers can choose between automation components with prismatic roller bearings (PAR model) or recirculating ball guides (PAS model), as appropriate to their particular application.
