New battery technologies and quick charging systems, innovative IT and networking services and increasing automation of vehicles are affecting the design of the charging infrastructure. In addition, factors such as the energy supply, political decisions and global trends have also had an impact. What do the current trends and technologies look like and which will survive into the future?
The new study Future charging infrastructures – Technologies and trends , which has been published by Bayern Innovativ GmbH in collaboration with the Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Engineering IAO , focuses on these questions. The study provides a comprehensive overview of existing and future technologies for all aspects of the charging infrastructure for electric vehicles and analyzes how likely it is that they will still be in use in 2030. In this way, it intends to provide a solid information base and a decision-making tool for the development of future charging solutions.
