Körber extends its IIoT competence with connyun
By acquiring the Karlsruhe startup connyun, Körber AG has secured the digital competence of the PaaS solution provider. Ultimately, all business segments of the industrial company will profit from this.

With Körber Digital , the globally active Körber AG will maintain a branch office in Berlin, which is responsible for the planning and implementation of the digitization strategy in all areas of the company. The acquisition of the Karlsruhe startup, connyun , whose core business is a PaaS solution (Platform as a Service) for the optimization of logistics and production processes, will now provide new stimuli. The portfolio of connyun includes IIoT, cloud and connectivity software, big data and data science solutions, as well as Industry 4.0 consulting services.
By introducing new concepts, Körber hopes to significantly increase the operational efficiency of its own range of machines and system products in order to provide the market with leading innovation solutions for digitized production in the medium term. The acquisition of connyun will impact all business areas of the company through Körber Digital. Until its sale, the cloud platform provider founded in 2016 was a subsidiary of the robot manufacturer KUKA .
