The platform developed by AllThingsTalk facilitates the acquisition, aggregation, visualization, and evaluation of machine and sensor data. The platform can thereby offer companies in various industrial sectors tailor-made solutions for their Internet of Things (IoT) projects, such as environments for agile rapid prototyping, the rollout of connected products, and visualization tools.
“The use of IoT platforms for the implementation of Industry 4.0 projects has a key role to play in ensuring the future competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises,” says Gustavo Möller-Hergt, CEO of ALSO Holding AG, in the company’s press release . This addresses a fast-growing market that will reach a revenue volume of €180 billion in Europe by 2023.
The Internet of Things is deemed one of the most important technologies for Industry 4.0 . It is already changing manufacturing processes in many companies massively and is expected to play a major role in the development of new business models in the future.
